How to season carbon steel:
Thoroughly wash your wok before its first use, then dry and season it right away.
-Place wok on medium heat until evenly warmed
-Apply a thin coat of cooking oil to the entire inside surface
-Reduce heat to low and apply another thin coat of oil
-Cook on low for about 10 minutes
-Remove from heat and wipe with a clean soft cloth
-Follow these steps two or three times
Wash with hot water and a soft cloth (no soap); store with a thin coat of oil.
Note: This wok is factory coated using a peanut free packing oil for your safety.
