Farmall IH International Char Lynn power steering control end drive # 374531r1

Description

One, NEW, replacement, power steering hand pump, control end drive spur for Farmall 240, 340, 404, 504, 2504 or International Harvester tractors 240 if you have the Char Lynn two port power steering unit. This drive spur shaft fits inside the sleeve and spool housing as shown in the parts manual. This drive fits the hydraulic power steering unit (torque generator) 373069r92, 373069r93 and 373069r94 and is the mid shaft between the control shaft and the geroter set. This is the internal shaft that you are likely to ruin if you chip a gear tooth inside the drive spool. This shaft will then eat itself up and your geroter will seize due to an obstruction in the pump gear. This little guy takes a lot of abuse and is the culprit for most internal hand pump failures on these models.
IF YOU HAVE A CHAR LYNN torque generator that will not turn in either direction, this spur gear is probably broken on the inside of the unit. This drive will NOT fit the 4 port PS unit on these same models. THIS DRIVE WILL ALSO FIT ALL CHAR LYNN S-101, 207 and 217 SERIES TORQUE GENERATORS ON ANY MODEL TRACTOR. It will NOT fit a S-102 series.
