How to correctly install the gaskets to the spout.
1. Make sure your flame arrestor (screen) is installed, push it into the base of the spout, it has a lip on it that allows the gasket to seal.
2. When installing the gasket, there are two sides to the gasket. First the gasket has a groove in which the flange of the spout fits, the upside or spout end of the gasket is shorter than the side that seals against the can.
3. Install retainer ring by sliding it over the tip end of the spout, with the cup toward the gasket, the retainer ring should then go over the gasket holding it from expanding.
