Aermotor 80 foot tall Fire Lookout Tower.
This is a 1928 Aermotor Fire Lookout tower originally put up in Western Minnesota in 1928. There were many of this model placed around the state and a number are still standing.Aermotor manufactured the standard water pumping windmills at the turn of the century in 1900 and sold fire lookout towers as well. This tower was decommissioned by the Forest Service back in 1972 and sold. It was taken down a year later. It is galvanized steel in very good conditionand about 2 - 2 1/2 tons in weight. Has an outside ladder to climb to the top. Has hoops that go around the ladder to attachan outside wire mesh to offer protection when climbing.  Has a 8 sided tower cupula for the top with roof section. Photos of erected tower are of a similar Aermotor 80 foot fire lookout tower to show the tower and top.
Can be put up for a lookout tower or used for wind generator tower. Could be put up as a shorter tower by only using the upper 50-75 percent of the tower.
Tower is taken down and stored.
